Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate my work hours?

Enter clock-in and clock-out times. The calculator subtracts lunch break to show net hours. Add entries for each day for weekly totals.

Does this account for lunch breaks?

Yes! Enter lunch start/end times or leave them blank if no break. Break time is automatically deducted from total hours.

How do I calculate overtime hours?

Set the daily threshold (default 8 hours). Hours beyond that are shown in red as overtime with separate totals.

Can I track a full week?

Yes! The weekly view shows Monday–Sunday. Enter times for each day worked. The summary shows daily totals and weekly regular/overtime hours.

How to convert hours to decimal?

Divide minutes by 60. 8h 30m = 8.5h. 7h 45m = 7.75h. Our calculator shows both formats.

What is a typical full-time schedule?

US: typically 40 hrs/week (8h/day, 5 days). France: 35h/week. Check your local labor laws for requirements.

How are lunch breaks handled legally?

Most US states require 30-min meal break for shifts over 6 hours. Federal law doesn't mandate breaks. Breaks under 20 min are typically paid.

Can I save my entries?

Yes! Data is saved in your browser's local storage. Entries persist between sessions on the same device. Use Reset to clear.
